I am a new graduate speech pathologist, having recently completed a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Speech and Language Therapy through Charles Darwin University. Based in Tasmania, I completed my studies remotely and travelled to Darwin throughout my Master’s program for in-person intensives that focused on practical skill development and hands-on learning experiences.
My interest in speech pathology began in my final years of secondary school, when I knew I wanted to pursue a health-related career that involved working closely with children. Throughout my degree, I had several placement experiences across a range of practice settings and with clients of many different ages. These experiences confirmed my passion for working in paediatric practice and allowed me to develop my skills in many areas of speech pathology. This led me to develop a particular interest in supporting children with speech, language, and fluency needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing in a social netball roster, working on new crochet projects, waterskiing during the summer months, and spending time with my friends and family. I am excited to begin my career as a speech pathologist at Speech Pathology Tasmania, working with and supporting children and their families within my local Tasmanian community.
