COSC™ Training?
Speech Pathology Tasmania provides specialist professional development for educators through the Circle of Security Classroom™ (COSC™) approach, supporting teachers, teacher assistants, and wider school and early learning teams to build stronger, more responsive relationships with children.
This training is particularly valuable for professionals working in early childhood education, preschool, kindergarten, and early primary school settings, as well as OSHC services, inclusion support staff, and allied health professionals working in education environments.
Grounded in attachment theory and child development research, COSC™ helps educators better understand children’s emotional needs and behaviour, and respond in ways that promote emotional safety, regulation, engagement, and learning.
Participants gain practical, real-world strategies they can apply immediately in the classroom or care setting to strengthen connection and reduce behavioural challenges.
Delivered in-person or online via Microsoft Teams, this flexible training is accessible to education teams across Australia, including metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities, and particularly suitable for:
- Childcare centres
- Playgroup facilitators/workers
- Allied health workers
- Disability workers
- Early childhood educators and teachers
- Case workers for children and families

Rosie Martin is an experienced facilitator of the Circle of Security Classroom approach. She offers the Circle of Security® Classroom as a professional development opportunity for groups of educators, early childhood coordinators, and school-based personnel.
What’s included?
The program can be delivered in two ways:
- In southern Tasmania, the Circle of Security® Classroom course can be delivered directly, in-person at your preferred location (face-to-face).
- For all other locations across Australia, the Circle of Security® Classroom program is delivered online as an interactive workshop (face-to-face) through Microsoft Teams.
The 1.5 – 2 hour sessions run over 8 weeks (1 session per week). The dates and times can be negotiated to suit you and your team. We can provide a quote on request.
The organisation will receive:
- Promotional flyer to distribute to staff/members
- Relevant confidentiality forms to create safe group dynamics during the program
- An electronic copy of the workbook and weekly handouts for printing and distributing to participating team members.
